Thanks for expressing an interest on the fate of my 42" Bridgeton by ‘Hampton Bay’, (mn:810778), Ceiling Fan Repair.

The “Pull Chain Switch” (#KTE 3089R 2035080 3 Speed 4 Wire Ceiling Fan Switch), I purchased from you was an exact match for the original switch in the fan. However, there was no improvement after I installed the switch.

The Fan continued to respond to either “Full Speed”, or “Off”; without the “Slow”, or “Medium” speeds operating.

I then replaced the Fan’s “5-Wire Capacitor”, with the only “exact match” I could find anywhere on the internet.

But, again, this “new Capacitor”, (which the ebay seller had assured me was in full working condition), made no change in the fan’s function. It still runs on just Full Speed, or Off.

At this point I have run out options and believe I will just have to replace the fan.
