I did it by myself! I am a 61yr old widow. The part was perfect, and with the assistance of a you tube video, I was able to get my fan working properly again. I strongly recommend having someone to help get it back up and put back together. You truly need three hands. But if you don’t have a helper… duct tape held it together long enough for me to get the little screws back in place. I am a happy customer, and if my other fan has the same problem, now I know who to contact! Thank you!! 😀😀

I have a Hampton Bay fan. The fan switch does not work. The wire colors are yellow,black,purple and orange. The 4 wire switch you have listed have differant color wires on it. Will it work and does it have instructions on which color of wire go together ? Kevin asked on May 26, 2023

If the new switch is a compatible replacement, then it should be wired like the old switch and based on terminal number not wire color.
