Zing Ear ZE-228S replacement switch is used in 2-speed ceiling fans or pedestal oscillating fans. It can handle 6A at 125VAC or 3A at 250VAC.
ZE-228S ZH can also act as a dimmer switch for incandescent or halogen lamps when used with a 1N5404 diode. This switch is compatible with many ceiling fans including Monte Carlo, Harbor Breeze, Hampton Bay, Casablanca, Westinghouse, Hunter (e.g., 22272), and others.

This switch was exactly the same as the switch that went bad in my WH24 attic fan . That switch lasted 25 years. I hope to get that much time from this new one as well.
